I've opened an account with del.icio.us and started to add my favourites. I can see this could be very useful as I will be able to access my favourites anywhere. At work there have been times when I have wanted to show a website to a customer and this will be a quick and easy way to access them.
I'll have to spend more time and play around to make the format look more interesting.

Yey! I've now got my very own search tool to help me dream away and plan holidays. I will add more sites to this as I find them. I can see this tool will be very useful for other topics both at work and at home.

# Library Thing

I have saved a few books I really enjoyed reading and placed them onto this blog using Library Thing. I quite enjoyed playing around with this and could imagine revisiting and expanding the bookshelf. I can think of quite a few reasons to use Library Thing such as creating a list to pass onto friends who may have asked for recommendations - it's easy to go blank when you are asked on the spot!

More Flickr fun!

I've just been playing around with a photo of some reindeer we use for Christmas decorations. I wanted to put a speech balloon on the photo but would never have known how to do it before exploring Flickr! Matthew doesn't work here anymore but I know the photo will make him laugh.

#10 Online Image Generator

I am doing another online course at the same time as the web 2.0 course, and had to create an avatar for the forum, so I was happy to see that all the instructions are here for me to use!

Here is my avatar - I look as though I am going to thump someone don't I?

I've added a second version as it's Friday evening.

RSS feeds #8 & 9

I've managed to open a bloglines account and have added some RSS feeds, so now understand the concept. I think I will definitely explore this later on and add some more.
I see the next module has the word "play" in the heading so I think I will move onto that!

Lombok

Well, it's now 20 days since my last entry - not through want of trying! Either time or technology have got in the way.
Anyway, I have had a play with the Warholizer on Flickr and came up with this image. I chose a photo we took on our recent holiday to Lombok Indonesia, looking out onto the beach.

Here is the original photo. The place we stayed at is called Kuta - as you can see it is very different from it's namesake in Bali.

Frustration! I seem to have gone in and out, back and forth with this exercise. So I have chosen a "little photo of calm", not a "little book of calm".
I chose this one as I was having trouble trying to search by a subject. This was taken on my birthday - which is in Spring in the northern hemisphere. I trawled through the calendar until I found this - quite an amazing image.

Blog - such a dull ugly sounding name - so I added a daisy to it.

It's like creating an email account, trying to think of passwords and names.

When I look at this posting I see the date I entered this is listed as Sunday evening Oct 7th, when I actually entered this on Monday afternoon. Must be a blog time warp?
